The ETH Women Professors Forum unites women professors at ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne, formerly under the umbrella of ETH Zurich and now as an independent association. Additionally, members also include women scientists at ETH Domain research institutions (EAWAG, PSI, EMPA, WSL) who hold a professor position at any Swiss university.
Our members are distinguished, worldwide recognized experts in their scientific fields and experienced in leading and working within an international environment.
All women professors of ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne (full, associated, assistant, adjunct) are entitled to become a member of the Forum. Overall, 85% of women at EPF Lausanne and 75% of them at ETH Zurich are members, including professors that have retired. Multiple members have held leading positions at ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne.
Each year, our members receive awards and honors for their achievements and for training the next generation of scientists, social scientists, engineers and architects. Most of their students and researchers successfully pursue a professional career in the industry or the service sector.
When men and women pursue their careers, this means that both can live out their individual dreams. Both can demonstrate their abilities to the fullest and receive recognition for it. This brings joy! In addition, a double income gives a family more security, particularly in times of hardship.
