Körber Prize 2015
Nicola Spaldin, Professor for Material Theory at ETH Zurich, has been awarded the Körber Prize, one of the most prestigious scientific awards in Europe. She receive the EUR 750,000 Körber Prize for the creation of a new class of crystalline compounds that could revolutionise the world of computers.

ERC Advanced Grants
Julia Vorholt, Professor of microbiology at ETH Zurich’s Institute of Microbiology and a pioneer in understanding the metabolism of bacteria and how they adapt to plants, received the ERC Advanced Grant for her project aiming at encouraging sustainable plant growth and diminish plant diseases.

The European Research Council published the figures about the donated Consolidator Grants in 2014. The overall rate of grantees was 15% out of all applicants.
