An online study about the child care services at ETH Zurich carried out by Human Resources and an external consultant showed the parents’ satisfaction and needs.

The survey shows that most childcare is provided by partners, grandparents and other relatives. However, many parents wish to be more able to make use of the popular facilities of kihz Foundation and university-associated childcare. But the waiting lists there are longer than for private and municipal childcare facilities. In the summary the survey concludes that the overall evaluation is positive, though some potential for improvement is evident. Based on the results, HR of ETH Zurich is working on implementing appropriate measures to improve the situation.
