Salomé Régine Leibundgut, SNSF Assistant Professor at the Department of Biology, Institute for Microbiology, has been awarded the Hedi Fritz-Niggli Visiting Professorship of University of Zurich. This professorship aims to heighten the visibility of women professors as role models for junior women academics. Professor Leibundgut conducts her scientific research about fungal infections at the VetSuisse Faculty of University of Zurich.
