Congratulations to Laura De Lorenzis for winning the IACM Oden Computational Mechanics Award 2026. Bestowed by the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM) every two years, the award honors individuals who have made significant contributions in basic or applied computational mechanics.

Laura De Lorenzis is a Professor of Computational Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at ETHZ. Her research develops advanced mathematical models and computational techniques for the solution of complex problems in solid and structural mechanics. Her team’s goal is enabling the design and optimisation of materials, manufacturing processes, and structures.
