Congratulations to Laura Heyderman for winning the Charpak-Ritz Prize for her innovations in nanomagnetic devices, her observations of emergent magnetic monopoles and phase transitions in artificial spin ice and the development of synchrotron x-ray magnetic tomography.

The Charpak-Ritz Prize, a joint prize between the Société Française de Physique and the Swiss Physical Society, is awarded to scientists or scientist teams who have produced significant contributions to the field of Physics, alternating between France and Switzerland every year.
