Congratulations to Valentina Boeva and Julia Schmale for both being promoted to Associate Professor.

Valentina Boeva is a Professor of Computational Genomics at the Department of Computer Science at the ETHZ. Her research focuses on addressing biologically and clinically relevant questions in cancer by developing computational methods that lead to new biological insights and serve as models in clinical decision making.

Julia Schmale is a Professor of Extreme Environments at the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering at EPFL. Her current research focuses on the impacts of climate chance in the Arctic and the Antarctic environments by investigating aerosols in the different planet spheres and their interactions.
